Radio history and overview

The Baron appears in late-1970s CB trade literature and Browning documentation indexes. A 1977 CB buyers guide describes it as a 40-channel SSB/AM transceiver for mobile and PA use. An independent historical post also associates the Baron with 1977 and with Browning's OEM production context, but that source is secondary and I treat it cautiously.
